UIL ACADEMICS LETTER JACKET REQUIREMENTS

A student can earn his/her letter jacket in UIL Academics by fulfilling one of the competition requirements listed below.

    1.     Compete at the district level* for two different years.  The   competition     

            can be in the same event each year or a different event each year.

    2.     Compete at the district level* and advance to the regional level the same

            year.

    3.     Compete at a minimum of two invitational meets for three different years

            and attend practice sessions.  The competitions can be in the same event

            each year or different events each year.  (Effective 9/4/15)

*To be eligible to compete at the district level, the student must have also participated in at least one scheduled practice/invitational meet the same year.
